Burlington is a booming Vermont city that benefits greatly from its location on the lake's eastern shore. From late spring through late fall, downtown Burlington's Pine Street plays host to farmers from all over the state selling their fresh vegetables and wares. This age-old custom provides a wonderful opportunity to meet new people while sampling some of the finest regional cuisines. Farmers' markets are great places to buy locally produced items such as honey, authentic Vermont maple syrup, freshly picked strawberries, ripe tomatoes, delicious baked goods, and freshly squeezed lemonade.
In addition to being Burlington's longest stretch of sand, North Beach is also the finest option for those looking to get wet. You may swim or hire a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and explore the beach from the water. You may have a great day in the sun without worrying about anything, as there are food booths, a playground, picnic tables, barbecues, and a bathroom with showers. A full-service campsite welcomes RVs and tents if you plan to spend some time at the beach.
